Continuing the cyborg-inspired design of the HiBy R4, the aluminium chassis and translucent polycarbonate of the FC5 mesh together in tastefully unique geometry.  At the same time the FC5 only weighs 21g, guaranteeing portability while standing out in appearance from the crowd of oblong aluminium cuboids crowding the market.

This version of the FC5 is equipped with a 1.1” hi-res OLED color display to clearly display operating conditions, with intuitive menu-driven operation. A 30 steps volume control is realized via the hardware volume controller and physical volume buttons for precise volume control with volume memory.

The FC5 is equipped with two of Cirrus Logic’s flagship grade CS43198 DAC chips, with high SNR (122dB) and low power consumption. FC5 supports up to DSD512, PCM768kHz / 32bit sample rates, compatible with current and future hi-res music sources.

Dual SGM8261-5 headphone amps deliver high driving power of up to 125mW via 3.5mm single ended and 245mW via 4.4mm balanced outputs. The amp circuitry was designed by an engineering team with a long experience in DAP design for seamless integration with the flagship grade dual DACs, producing a level of power and expressiveness rarely found in the dongle market.

FC5 can be switched between UAC 1.0 and UAC 2.0 modes. UAC1.0 allows for compatibility with popular consoles / handhelds such as PS5, Switch, PS4pro. UAC2.0 supports high resolution audio formats.

HiByMusic is the optional Android companion app for the FC5. A fully featured music playback app, HiByMusic allows for high res USB music output. The FC5 features 9 onboard EQ profiles, allowing for a unique listening experience. At the same time, users can also use HiByMusic (Android version) or HiBy USB Master software on PC to customise the equaliser.
