RU6 conveys the natural and realistic sound of R2R DACs with 96 high precision resistors to deliver 24 bit decoding resolution. Cayin has carefully selected extremely precise Low TCR Thin Film Resistors with high temperature stability.

Cayin developed a 99 step physical volume control using a discrete resistor array maintains the transparent and natural sound of the R2R DAC. A High/Low gain control ensures flexible performance even with sensitive IEMs and portable headphones.

With a net weight of just 28g, the RU6 is simple to slip into any pocket.

Cayin RU6 can operate in both Non-oversampling and oversampling modes.

• Non-Oversampling (NOS): Maintains the original sampling rate of the source bitstream with no digital reconstruction filter, ensuring low phase distortion and jitter with no pre or post ringing artefacts. Accurate in time domain. Music is natural, organic and coherent.
• OS: Increases the sample rate (upsampling) prior to DA interpolation. Enhances resolution and removes aliasing artefacts. Accurate in frequency domain. Impressive in detail and frequency extension.

RU6 supports up to 384kHz PCM and DSD256 formats.

To minimize interference, the RU6's circuitry is split into TWO 6-layers PCB, with digital and analog circuit installed in seperate boards.

This separation safeguards signal integrity, making sure the noise from reference clock and DSP will not bleed into the amplification circuit.

Discrete R2R designs are low-powered when compare to other highly integrated DAC chipset, minimising power drain from mobile sources.

The included USB Audio with shielded interconnect USB-C interconnect is compatible with wide range of mobile, consumer electronics and computers (Lightning to USB-C cable is not included).
