The A18T is 64 Audio’s custom flagship reference tuned offering, offering 8 drivers focusing on the bass frequencies, 8 drivers focusing on the midrange and a duet of Tia drivers focusing on the highs and mids. As the custom version of the U18T, the A18T also features Apex technology, which relieves air pressure created by speakers in an enclosed environment. The A18T comes bundled with 2-pin detachable (48” or 64”, picked on order) cable terminating with a 3.5mm plug, protective case, a extensive set of silicone tips, the Apex m20 module and the Apex M15 module, shirt clip, and cleaning tool.

The A18T can also be customised with a variety of premium designs available from 64 Audio such as different colours and textures with various levels of translucency, with custom text options available. If you don’t like the preset designs, you can upload your own!

The A18T Tzar’s delivers an accurate, reference level sound for critical listening. The earphones are airy, detailed, and exhibit crisp highs, yet have powerful bass and smooth, intimate vocal presence. The balance of these elements ensure the A18T is suited for any genre of music, faithfully representing the music as the artist intended. For a more aggressive and energetic sound, consider the 64 Audio A12T.

64 Audio is now offering an extended warranty care plan that may be purchased alongisde your CIEM order. For more information, contact us.

Interchangeable Apex Modules

64 Audio IEMs feature interchangeable modules with 64 Audio's patented apex™ technology. Used with most of 64 Audio's custom and universal in-ears, they allow you to adjust pressure relief, noise isolation, bass attenuation, and mix width.

Different 64 Audio models come with different modules; please refer to product inclusions. CIEM orders generally come with M20 modules unless otherwise requested. Additional modules can be purchased seperately. For maximum noise isolation and bass response, Minidisc recommends M20 modules.

Detachable Cable

64 Audio IEM cables are detachable, allowing for easy replacement (and redundancy if you purchase extra spare cables). When you design your 64 Audio CIEM, you can select IPX or 2-Pin connectors. Choose IPX for enchanced sweat resistance or 2-Pin for more third-party cable options.

Minidisc recommends IPX cables for professional users.

Personalized Case

All 64 Audio CIEM orders includes a round aluminum hard case which can be custom engraved at no extra charge. The case is designed with room to fit your CIEM including cables and some small accessories.

Tia, or Tubeless In-Ear Audio, allows sound to travel to the ear in a more natural way, resulting in a more expansive soundstage and smooth frequency response.

The complete tia system is comprised of three elements: open balanced armature drivers, a single-bore design, and acoustic chambers. All but two of 64 Audio's current Custom In-Ear Monitors feature a tia single-bore and tia high driver.

Apex, or Air Pressure Exchange, is a pneumatically interactive vent that releases air pressure in a sealed ear canal. This venting alleviates listener fatigue and opens the soundstage.

Apex comes in three variations, mX, m15 and m20. All of 64 Audio's current CIEMs feature apex technology.

3D-Fit technology combines digital scanning, rendering and 3D-printing to retain ear impression detail. Integrating acoustical tuning features, impossible with traditional methods, enable fitting up to 18 drivers without dramatically increasing IEM height.

Compared to wax-dip molding, this process reduces distortion and maximizes internal space for precise and comfortable in-ear devices. All 64 Ear's  Custom In-Ear Monitors and Earplugs are crafted using this advanced technique.

LID is a proprietary circuit that corrects the non-linear impedances of the drivers, restoring proper interaction with the source and preserving the desired sound signature.

Smartphones, body packs, amps, and DAPs produce audio with different output impedances. The interaction of the earphone impedance curve with the sources may result in the same IEM sounding different with different sources. LID mitigates these inconsistencies, so you can enjoy the same sound across sources.

Frequently Asked Questions

A universal IEM is designed to fit as many ears as possible using a standard shell shape and silicone or foam ear tips. A custom IEM (CIEM) is built from a precise scan or impression of your specific ear canal, so the shell is shaped exactly to your anatomy. The result is a fit that is airtight, stable, and consistent every time you put them in — no adjusting, no tips falling out, no variation in seal. Because the acoustic seal is more reliable, bass response and isolation are typically more consistent than with universals. CIEMs are also significantly more comfortable for extended wear, as there is no pressure from a tip being pushed against the canal wall. For musicians, performers, and dedicated listeners who spend long hours with IEMs in, the difference in comfort and reliability is substantial.

If you are in Sydney, we offer digital ear scanning in-house — just get in touch to book an appointment. Digital scanning is fast, clean, and produces highly accurate results that translate directly into 64 Audio's manufacturing process. If you are located outside of Sydney, you can have physical ear impressions taken by an audiologist. Please contact us and we will provide our audiologist guide, which outlines the specific impression technique and requirements that 64 Audio needs for the best possible fit result. Not all impression methods are the same, so following this guide is important.

64 Audio offers an extensive range of customisation options covering shell colour, faceplate design, and finish. Shell colours range from clear to solid colours and translucent tints, while faceplate options include a variety of wood veneers, carbon fibre, abalone, artwork prints, and premium designer finishes. You can also add custom engraving for names, logos, or artwork. Standard options are included in the base price, while certain premium finishes, materials, and artwork options carry an additional cost.

APEX — Air Pressure Exchange — is 64 Audio's patented venting technology built into every CIEM they make. A sealed IEM creates a pressure differential between the outside world and the ear canal, which over time causes listener fatigue and can lead to a feeling of discomfort or "ear pressure." APEX uses a small module with a controlled acoustic vent to continuously equalise that pressure, relieving the buildup without compromising the acoustic seal or meaningfully affecting isolation. In practice, listeners consistently report that 64 Audio CIEMs feel less fatiguing over long sessions than sealed customs from other manufacturers. Different APEX modules (m15, m20, mX) offer varying degrees of isolation, allowing you to tune how much ambient sound you let in depending on your use case — whether that's on stage, in the studio, or in daily life. Each module also has a subtle effect on bass response, meaning swapping modules is a simple way to adjust the overall sound character of your CIEM to suit your preference.

64 Audio backs every CIEM with a 30-day fit guarantee. If your customs do not fit correctly upon arrival, 64 Audio will remake them at no charge within that window. This covers cases where the shell is too tight, too loose, or causing discomfort due to a manufacturing fit issue. If you have any concerns about fit after receiving your order, contact us promptly so we can help manage the process with 64 Audio on your behalf.

Turnaround time is typically 6 to 8 weeks from when we receive your order. This can vary depending on seasonal factors — periods such as holidays and sale events tend to increase demand and may extend lead times beyond the standard window. We recommend factoring in some buffer if you have a specific date you need them by, such as a tour, event, or recording session. If timing is critical, get in touch and we can give you the most current estimate before you order.
